How to Move The Social Trainer Templates to a New Canva Account
A concise walkthrough for fitness professionals and personal trainers on how to transfer Canva templates, workout plans, and client assets into a new Canva account — helping you keep your brand kit, content, and training materials organized and ready for easy access.
If you’ve switched to a new Canva account and want to keep all your training templates, workout plans, and social media assets in one place, here’s the easiest way to transfer them over:
The Issue
When you open templates from The Social Trainer, they’ll automatically save to whichever Canva account you’re currently logged into — which might be an older or personal one. This can be frustrating if you’re trying to keep all your workout templates, branded graphics, and client forms in a new account that already has your logos, colors, and brand assets organized.
The Solution
- The easiest way to move your templates into your new Canva account is to open them while logged into that account. Follow these simple steps:
1. Log Into Your New Canva Account
Start by logging out of your old Canva account.
Then, log into your new Canva account — the one that already has your brand kit, client templates, and business assets set up.
2. Open the Template Link
Go back to The Social Trainer page and click the template link.
Since you’re logged into your new account, the template will automatically open there — saving it directly to the correct workspace for your training business.
3. Save the Template
Once the template opens in your new Canva account, it’s automatically saved.
You can now customize and use it for your social posts, workout plans, client guides, or promotions — keeping all your fitness content neatly organized in one place.
Transferring Existing Designs
If you’ve already saved templates or built designs in your old account and need them in your new one:
- Open the design from your old Canva account (e.g., workout templates, client intake forms, branded social posts).
- Click Share and send the design to the email address tied to your new Canva account so you can access it from your training business workspace.
- Sign in to your new account, open the shared design, and choose Make a copy to save it permanently in your new library.
