I'm trying to open a Canva template, but it's only allowing me to view it?
If a workout or social post template opens as "View Only", follow these quick fixes so you can edit your own copy.
Trying to open a workout or social post template and seeing a “View Only” message?
Try the following:
You’re likely clicking into the original template owned by The Social Trainer instead of your personal copy. We can’t grant edit access to the master version, since any changes would update the original template for everyone.
Instead, look for the copy that was automatically created the first time you opened the workout or caption template — that’s your editable version.
If you still can’t find it, go back to The Social Trainer website and open the template link directly from there to create a new editable copy in your Canva account.
