The Script Writer uses AI to generate ready-to-use video scripts for your social media content. This guide walks you through creating a new script, customizing it, and managing your saved scripts.

Creating a New Script

To create a new script, navigate to Scripts from your dashboard and click New Script. You'll be guided through a simple four-step process.

Step 1: Choose Your Hook

A hook is the opening line or visual that grabs your audience's attention in the first few seconds. You can optionally select two types of hook:

  • Text Hook — A compelling opening line that appears on screen (e.g. "Stop scrolling if you…").
  • Visual Hook — A visual concept or action to pair with your opening (e.g. "Point at text on screen").

Hooks are organized by category. Browse through the categories and click a hook to select it. Both hooks are optional — you can skip this step if you prefer to let the AI decide.

Step 2: Choose Your Topic

Select one or more topics that your script should cover. You can also add specific keywords to guide the AI toward particular talking points or themes. This is the only required step — you need at least one topic selected before you can generate a script.

Step 3: Script Length

Choose how long you want your finished script to be:

  • 45 sec — approximately 100 words
  • 1 min — approximately 150 words (default)
  • 1:30 — approximately 225 words
  • 2 min+ — approximately 300 words

Shorter scripts work well for Reels and TikToks, while longer scripts are better for YouTube Shorts or in-depth content.

Step 4: Additional Instructions

Optionally add custom instructions to fine-tune the AI output. For example:

  • "Make it funny"
  • "Target beginners"
  • "Include a specific offer"
  • "Use a conversational tone"

Generating the Script

Once you've completed the steps above, click the Generate Script button. The AI will process your selections and produce a full script. This usually takes a few seconds.

Reviewing and Editing Your Script

After the script is generated, you'll see a preview with two editable fields:

  • Title — A name for your script (auto-filled based on your selected topics). Edit this to something memorable so you can find it later.
  • Script — The full script body. You can edit the text directly to adjust wording, add your personal touch, or rearrange sections.

Available Actions

  • Copy — Copies the script text to your clipboard so you can paste it into a teleprompter, notes app, or anywhere else.
  • Save — Saves the script to your account. You need both a title and script body before you can save.
  • Edit Parameters — Takes you back to the creation form so you can adjust your hooks, topics, length, or instructions and regenerate.

Managing Saved Scripts

All saved scripts appear on the main Scripts page. Click any script to reopen it in edit mode, where you can:

  • Update the title or script body at any time.
  • Copy the script to your clipboard.
  • Save your changes.

Use the Back to Scripts link at the top to return to your script library.
