Everything on a slide is a layer: each text box, photo, shape and sticker. Layers stack — the one on top covers the ones below.
The Layers tab
In Advanced mode, the Layers tab lists everything on the slide, front at the top, background at the bottom.
- Drag a row up or down to change what sits in front.
- The eye hides a layer; the padlock stops it being moved by accident.
- Click a row to select that layer and see all its settings. Back to layers returns
to the list.
Selecting several things
Drag a box on empty canvas to select everything inside it, or hold Shift and click. A bar appears under the selection:
- Duplicate, Delete and Lock
- Layer order — bring forward or send back
- Align — line them up with each other or the slide
- Group — keep them together so they move as one
Esc clears the selection.
