Your first post walks you through a template step by step. This is the map: what's on screen, and what each mode is for.
Two modes
The toggle at the top switches between two views of the same post. Flip back and forth as often as you like — your work carries across.
- Basic — fill in the template: your words, your photos, your style. You can't knock the
design out of place, which is the point.
- Advanced — the full canvas. Move, resize and restyle anything, and add your own text,
photos, shapes and more.
Start in Basic. Switch to Advanced when the template is nearly right and something needs to move.
On a phone, the editor is Basic only.
Basic mode
The panel on the right walks you through the post:
- Your words — every line of text. Type over it; use − and + if your words run
longer or shorter.
- Your photos — click a photo and choose Replace, or Add your photos to fill every
slide at once.
- Your style — font styles that restyle the whole post, and your Brand Kit.
The slide strip at the top of the panel moves you between slides. Every slide has its own words and photos.
Advanced mode

Working on the canvas
- Click anything to select it. A toolbar for that kind of thing appears above it.
- Drag to move it. Guides snap it to the middle and edges of the slide.
- Pull a corner to resize it.
- Double-click text to type in place; double-click a photo to crop it.
- Right-click for more — copy, layer order, add to other slides.
The tabs on the right
- Layers — everything on the slide, front to back. Select a layer to see all its settings.

- Media — fill the template's photos from your own library with Fill. See
- Caption — the template's example caption, or one written for you with **Generate with
AI**. See Captions.
- AI Rewrite — rewrites the words on your slides for your business. See
- Settings — the canvas size, background image and slide type.
Some templates add an AI photos tab too — see AI photos of you.
Saving
Hit Save — or Ctrl/⌘ S — as you go. If you try to leave with unsaved work, the editor asks first. Your posts live in My Projects.
Undo is Ctrl/⌘ Z; redo is Ctrl/⌘ Shift Z or Ctrl Y.
Exporting
Export offers Current Slide or All Slides. When it's done, a QR code puts the files on your phone. See Exporting.
AI Rewrite, AI captions and background removal are Pro. Captions and background removal come with free tries; your Brand Kit is free.
