By the end of this you'll have a finished carousel on your phone, a caption written, and a reminder booked for the day it goes out.
Find a template
Open Content Hub from the sidebar and click the Posts tab.
The filters underneath narrow it down by the job the post does, what it's about, the time of year and who it's for. Or click the For you card at the top for templates picked for you.
The heart on a card saves it to your favorites.
Check it's the right one
Click a card to preview it.
Read How to use it before you open the editor. It tells you what to prepare — usually a photo — and what to change on each slide.
Open it in the editor
Click Open in Editor. That makes it a project on your account, which you'll find again in My Projects.
The editor opens in Basic mode: the panel on the right walks you through Your words, Your photos and Your style, and leaves the design alone. Hit Save — or Ctrl/⌘ S — as you go.
Advanced mode, at the top, opens the full canvas — move, resize and restyle anything. You don't need it today. See How the Image Editor works.
Change the words
Under Your words, type over each line. Use the − and + beside a line if your words run longer or shorter than the original.
Keep the shape of the original copy. Swapping a three-word headline for a fifteen-word one is what makes a good template stop looking good.
Swap the photos
Under Your photos, click a photo and choose Replace. Or click Add your photos, pick several, and they fill every slide in order.
Work through the slides
The slide strip at the top of the panel shows every slide. Click one, or use the arrows, and fill its words and photos.
Put your brand on it
Under Your style, tap Brand Kit to put your fonts, colors and logo on every slide at once. If you haven't set one up yet, it's in Settings → Brand Kit — worth ten minutes.
Write the caption
Open the Caption tab on the right. The template comes with an example caption. Use it, or click Generate with AI to have it written in your voice.
AI captions are Pro. On the free plan you get three free tries.
Export it
Click Export and choose All Slides for the whole carousel.
Get it onto your phone
When the export finishes, a Download to Phone dialog shows a QR code. Scan it with your phone's camera and the files download straight to it.
The link doesn't expire. Lost it? The clock icon next to Export brings back any export.
Schedule the reminder
Click Schedule.
- What's posting — the export that comes with the reminder.
- Caption — still editable here.
- When — Next available picks a good time for you, or choose your own.
- Where — Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn or X.
Click Schedule. It lands on the Content Calendar.
Scheduling is a reminder, not a publisher. We email you the file and caption before it's due; nothing goes on your Instagram until you post it.
Scheduling is Pro.
Post it
Open the files on your phone — from the QR code, or the reminder email. In Instagram: + → Post → select the images in order → paste the caption → share.
That's one post done. The next one takes a few minutes, because you know where everything is.
