You make things on a laptop and post them from a phone. Everything below exists to close that gap without a cable, AirDrop, or emailing files to yourself.
There are four ways in. They all land on the same page.
1. The QR code after you export
The moment an export finishes, the Download to Phone dialog appears with a QR code. Point your phone's camera at it and it opens the download page for that export. This is the fastest route and the one to use most of the time.
2. From the Schedule dialog
Once a project has been exported, the Schedule dialog shows the latest export down the left with its own QR code and a Copy link button. So if you go straight from exporting to scheduling, you can send the file to your phone from there without going back.
3. From the reminder email
The reminder that arrives before a scheduled post is due has a Get your post button. On a laptop it opens the download page with a QR code; on your phone it opens the page with the files ready to save. See Does it post for me? for what else is in that email.
4. Later, from your export history
Every export you've ever made is in Settings → Exports, grouped by day, with the project name on each row. Each one has a QR code button and a download button. Inside an editor, the clock icon next to Export shows the same history for that one project.
The download page
Whichever way you got there, the page has:
- The files — one for a reel, one per slide for a carousel. On a phone, Save opens
the share sheet, so on an iPhone you get Save Image or Save Video straight into your camera roll. On a laptop the same button downloads the file.
- The caption, with a Copy button, when the link came from a scheduled post or a
reminder.
Links don't expire. A QR code from last month still works, and so does the button in an old reminder email. The only way to hit Link not found is a link to an export that's been removed — in which case Settings → Exports has a fresh one.
The other direction: phone to laptop
The photos and clips you want to use usually live on your phone. My Media has a From phone button that shows a QR code; scan it and your phone gets an upload page that sends straight into your library. That's the route for getting footage in — see My Media.
