Does it post for me?

No. What scheduling actually does — the calendar entry, the reminder email, what's in it, when it arrives, and the settings that control it.

No. The Social Trainer doesn't post to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X or TikTok, and it can't: it never connects to those accounts. Nothing goes out under your name unless you post it yourself.

What it does instead is get everything you need for the post — the finished file and the caption — onto your phone at the right moment, so the posting itself takes a minute. This page is exactly what happens between hitting Schedule and that moment.

What scheduling does

When you schedule a post, three things happen:

  1. It goes on Content Calender, at the time you picked.
  2. Shortly before that time — 30 minutes by default — you get a reminder email with

the caption and a link to the file.

  1. If you've turned on the morning digest (it's off by default), the post is also

listed in the 7 am email that day, along with everything else due.

That's all. There is no step four where anything is published.

The reminder email

The reminder email: due time, a preview, the caption and the Get your post button

The subject is the post's title and the time it's due. Inside:

  • When and where — the due time in your timezone, and the platform you chose
  • A preview of the post
  • Your caption, in a box you can select and copy
  • Get your post — a button that opens a page with the file and a QR code, so you can

pull it onto your phone if you're reading on a laptop, or save it directly if you're reading on your phone

The file in that email is whatever you exported most recently for that project. It's looked up when the email is sent, not when you scheduled — so if you fix a typo and export again the night before, the reminder carries the fixed version without you touching the calendar.

If you scheduled something you never exported, the reminder says so: There's no file to send — you haven't exported this one yet, with a link back to the editor. The calendar and the Schedule dialog show the same thing beforehand, so it shouldn't be a surprise.

When it arrives, and how often

  • 30 minutes before the scheduled time, by default. Remind me, under **Posting

times** in Settings, moves it: 15 minutes, an hour, two hours, or the morning of.

  • Once per post. Moving a post on the calendar re-arms it, so a rescheduled post is

reminded again — but never more than twice in total, so dragging something around four times doesn't email you four times.

  • Not for suggestions. Posts that Auto Populate put on your calendar and you haven't

touched are a preview of the month, not a commitment. They don't send reminders until you edit or confirm them.

  • Only if reminders are on. They're on by default. The switch is **Reminder before each

post* under notifications in {{Settings}}, and every reminder has a Turn off reminders link at the bottom. Morning digest* is the separate switch for the 7 am email.

Then you post

Open the reminder on your phone, save the file, copy the caption, and post it in the platform's own app. For an Instagram carousel that's + → Post, select the images in order, paste the caption, share. Same idea everywhere else.

Why it works this way: connecting to your accounts would mean asking for permission to post as you, and everything that goes with that. The Social Trainer stays a step short of that on purpose. It's a small extra tap in exchange for never having anything go out that you didn't send.

Scheduling and the calendar are Pro features. See Scheduling a post for the dialog itself, and The Content Calendar for what you can do once posts are on it.
