Work down this list. The first two cover most cases.
1. Was it an Auto Populate suggestion?
Posts that Auto Populate put on the calendar are suggestions until you touch them, and suggestions never send reminders — by design, so a month of them doesn't train you to ignore the ones that matter. Open the post: if the notes say Auto-populated content and you never edited it, that's why. Change anything about it and it becomes a real post with a real reminder.
2. Are reminders on?
Settings → notifications → Reminder before each post. It's on by default, but the Turn off reminders link at the bottom of every reminder email flips it off in one click, and that's easy to hit by accident.
3. Has it been reminded twice already?
Each post gets one reminder. Moving it on the calendar re-arms it, but a post is never reminded more than twice in total — so one that's been dragged around a few times has used its reminders up. Delete it and schedule it fresh if you need another.
4. Check the timing
The reminder goes out 30 minutes before the post's time unless you've changed Remind me under Posting times in Settings — it can be as much as the morning of. Reminders are sent every five minutes, so allow a few minutes either side. And check the timezone shown on that card is actually yours; a post scheduled in the wrong timezone reminds you at the wrong time, not never.
5. Look in the other folders
Search your mail for the post's title — the subject line is "<title>" posts at <time>. Check spam and promotions.
6. Check the email address
Reminders go to the address on your account, under Settings → Email. If you signed up with an old address, that's where they're going.
7. The morning digest is separate
The 7 am digest is a different email with its own switch, and it's off by default. Turning it on doesn't turn reminders on, and vice versa.
8. Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't affect reminders
The unsubscribe link in newsletters only stops marketing email. Reminders and the digest are controlled only by the switches in Settings.
