Autofill ranks your library against each slot in the template. When the suggestions are all stock, all wrong, or missing, one of these is why. They're in order of how often each one is the cause.
1. Your library is empty, or nearly
With nothing uploaded, the only thing Autofill can offer is the stock library, and Fill all tells you Add clips to My Media to autofill. Upload your own — see My Media. Even ten clips changes the suggestions completely.
2. Wrong kind of media for the slot
A reel's slots take video; a post's slots take photos. A library of photos won't fill a reel, and Autofill won't suggest a clip for a photo slot. Check the Photos / Videos filter in My Media to see what you actually have.
3. The clip was just uploaded
Every upload is analyzed as it arrives, and the description Autofill matches against is written then. For a minute or so after a big upload, the newest clips can't match yet. Give it a moment and try again.
4. The folder filter is on
Media from at the top of the Autofill panel narrows the pool to one folder — and drops stock entirely. If it says anything other than All media, that's the pool you're getting. Switch it back.
5. The clip is excluded
Exclude from autofill on a clip in My Media keeps it out of suggestions on purpose. Open the clip and check the switch.
6. The description doesn't say what's in it
Autofill reads each clip's description and tags. A clip described as person in a gym matches everything and nothing. Open it in My Media and rewrite the description to say what it actually shows — the exercise, the setting, who's in frame. This is the fix with the biggest effect, and it takes thirty seconds a clip.
