You can cancel whenever you like, from inside the app, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for.
How to cancel
- Open Settings → Subscription.
- Press Manage Subscription. This opens Stripe's billing portal, which is where the
cancellation actually happens.
- Choose to cancel, and confirm.
Back in the app, the tab stops showing a renewal date. Your access carries on as normal until the end of the current billing period — you're not cut off the moment you cancel.
What happens at the end of the period
The account moves to the free plan. Nothing is deleted:
| What | After the downgrade |
|---|---|
| Projects | All still there. Ones built on free templates stay editable |
| Exports | All still in Settings → Exports, still downloadable |
| Uploaded photos and clips | All still in My Media |
| Favorites | Kept |
| Scheduled posts | Still on the calendar, and their reminder emails still arrive. You can delete them, one at a time or all at once, but not edit or move them |
| Captions you generated | Kept with their templates |
The features that stop are listed in What's included in Pro.
Two things to do before you go
Export anything you still want. A project built on a premium template can't be reopened on the free plan, but a file you've already exported is yours for good and stays in Settings → Exports. Ten minutes of exporting now saves the annoyance later.
Look at your calendar. Posts you've already scheduled stay put and keep sending their reminders, but you can't move them once you're on the free plan. If a date needs to change, change it before the period ends; afterwards the only option is to delete the post. Reminders you no longer want are one switch in Settings → Account → Notifications.
Changing your mind
If the period hasn't ended yet, open the billing portal again and resume the subscription. Nothing was lost, and no new charge is made until the normal renewal date.
If it has already ended, upgrade again from Settings → Subscription. Your projects, media and exports are all still on the account, and premium templates open again straight away.
If you're cancelling because something isn't working
Tell us first — send a message. If exports are failing, autofill isn't matching, or reminders aren't arriving, those are bugs we want to fix, and most of them turn out to be something in What's not working rather than a reason to leave.
